“I have always been more of an observer. The small things tend to catch my attention; the look exchanged between friends as they part ways, the way leaf-filtered light settles across a friend’s face, or how petals absorb the sun’s rays instead of reflecting them. But the way I see it, petals don’t just absorb the sunshine; they lure it in and soak in every beam until they are plump and glowing. Even as I describe the sun bathed flowers the diction fails to fully capture the essence of the subject. Creating is how I describe my observations to others. I make art because I want to share my perspective of the world.”
